Daisy Parris


Daisy Parris was born in Kent, 1993. She graduated from Goldsmiths in 2014. She

currently lives and works in South London. Parris’ work raises questions about identity politics as

well as the limits of what it means to be human and how we identify as human. Her paintings

focus on gender and identity struggles as well as the worry, guilt, embarrassment, numbness and

violent encounters of everyday existence. She uses text, colour, gestures and symbols as a way of

processing the struggle to come to terms with the past and the struggle to function in everyday
