Hercules Fisherman recently returned from his Far East tour, where he was invited to work and exhibit a series of sensual paintings produced, in Thailand and Japan. These works strongly influenced by classic Japanese and Eastern techniques with a modern touch.

Hercules is an award-winning artist, publisher, technologist and serial entrepreneur. He has a keen interest in Sumi paintings and a fascination with Zen-Kanji calligraphy, experimenting with fluid nature of the medium, where magical and shimmering hues result from the application of Sumi brushes and inks on rice papers. A selection of his recent work was on exhibit for the first time in Japan at the inaugural opening of Shin Star Gallery. 

Hercules has built a reputation for a strong body of work over the years that include painting, sculpture, installation and performance art. He has exhibited at international art centres and events in countries and private collections around the world.

His work has gained recognition in UK newspapers and magazines including The Face, The Guardian, Sunday Times, ID and Harpers & Queen, to name a few. He has been on TV and featured in films such as London Kills Me by Hanif Kureishi. Hercules has also launched popular clubs and events including Our Wonderful Culture hosting celebrities like Vivienne Westwood, and interviews with Lucian Freud, Leigh Bowery, Richard Hamilton, Yoko Ono, and Gilbert and George.

Hercules has held artist residencies at De Fabrik, Netherlands, The Fridge London, Paradise Wild Life Park, Shin Star Gallery - Thailand and Japan.

Hercules is a passionate protagonist for the advancement of culture, high-tech and social change, and widely recognised for mentoring high-tech start-ups. He recently participated in a major Human Rights fundraising event held at the United Nations in Geneva along with Daniel Barenboim and others, promoting peace and principals for the Universal Rights Declaration.

He is NED, Tech and Innovation Consultant at various startup and educational institutes, accelerators and academics in and outside the UK.

A regular speaker and participants at international art and tech events widely travelled across the world with international connections in every continent.

He is also an Advisory Board Member /

Centre for Doctoral Training in Intelligent Games and Game Intelligence (IGGI) which Goldsmiths is one of the leading Universities involved. Hercules has been active in supporting and shaping the initial funding application through, making contributions, connections and help to find right work placements in the industry for the doctorates.

He was apointed at Trampery-Republic as one of the resident “Creative Pioneers” contributing with workshops and lectures, his studio is also at the same square.

His upcoming events are the Hackstock Festival part of Fringe for Sci-Fi London at Trampery - Old street and exhibiting at the Square gallery at The Wandsworth Art Festival next month
